All furniture is second-hand, pre-loved and in some case recycled. It's come from beautiful loving homes, cute antique shops and markets across Oxfordshire, Cheshire, London and even New York. Coming out of the Closet is dedicated to a love, more accurately a fetish for furniture. Hence the name! The age of consumerism is thankfully over and we are in full support of a movement to re-use, recycle and to be generally mindful of what we purchase and throw away. All refurbished pieces are now painted using eco-friendly paints. They are done by hand and with love. More and more we will be showcasing a wide range of designs and styles of refurbishment to inspire others to get involved. Starting off as a family project, this is slowly but surely turning into a much-loved enterprise and being joined by friends and creatives as they see the opportunity to go-eco, transform old pieces into new and to have fun in the process. Get offline, roll your sleeves up and get creative. That's what we're up for. Back to basics. If you see a piece you like, make a note that it can be painted and refurbished to your requirement.
